If that’s not a greeting you would associate with me, let me explain. “Howdy” is the way students, faculty, and staff greet newcomers—and each other—at Texas A&M University, where I’m honored to serve as the new Dean of The Bush School of Government & Public Service. The Bush School is a leading public and international affairs graduate school, offering master’s level education for students aspiring to careers in public service. The foundation of the school is President George H.W. Bush’s belief that “service is a noble calling.” It’s a great foundation…and I feel privileged to be here!
